Set times released for Benicassim

It’s now less than 2 weeks until anyone heading to Benicassim will have arrived in Spain for the festival. FIB has one of the stand out lineups of any festival across Europe this summer, and with the weather forecast to be a scorcher it is set to be a brilliant week of sun, sea, sand and great music.

So, when are the big names playing?

On Thursday, Stormzy will be the big name on plenty of FIBers lips. He’s on the Main Stage (Las Palmas) at 22.40. An hour later, The Courteeners play on the Visa Stage, followed by The Jesus and Mary Chain at 1.30am. The Weeknd’s headline slot on the Main Stage starts at midnight.

The Main Stage on Friday is opened by The Sherlocks at 19.10, Blossoms aren’t far behind at 21.20. There’ll be lots of local interest for Los Planetas who are well worth going to see at 22.50 before the headliners Foals kick off at 00.30am. On the other stages, Temples are on at 20.50 and 2ManyDJs are on at 23.30 (Visa Stage).

Saturday’s Main Stage lineup is incredible. The Stypes start at 19.00, Liam Gallagher is on at 21.30, Red Hot Chili Peppers at 23.15 and then Biffy Clyro at 01.30am.

That’s Liam Gallagher, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Biffy Clyro all in one night. Wow.

And if you fancy a break away from the Main Stage, try Peter Doherty at 23.30 on the Visa Stage.

The final day of FIB 2017 sees Dundee rockers The View also swap Scotland for Spain, they’re on the Visa Stage at 20.35. Declan McKenna is on at the same time on the Main Stage. *clash alert!*

Slaves are on the Visa Stage at 21.45, and Years and Years feature on the Main Stage at 23.10. Arguably the most anticipated of them all, Kasabian will hit us first thing in the early hours of Monday morning, 00.50am for the lads from Leicester. Benicassim is closed, on the Main Stage at least, by Crystal Fighters at 3am. Fear not though, DJ Tennis and Aldo Linares will be spinning until 6.30am – a change from the usual sound of your Monday morning alarm clock.

So, we can’t wait. What do you think of the lineup? And THAT Saturday night?!
