The Courteeners sell out Heaton Park in under an hour.

Middleton band The Courteeners earlier this week announced a homecoming gig for the first week in June next year at Manchester’s Heaton Park. Following in the footsteps of The Stone Roses, who were the last band to play there back in 2012, the band sold out all 20,000 tickets in under an hour, both ticketing websites were rammed with fans desperately searching for tickets. Those who were lucky enough will see The Courteeners perform songs from all three of their top 6 albums, spanning from 2008’s St. Jude to this years’ Concrete Love, after which the band embarked on an Autumn UK tour, culminating in Liverpool a week ago today.
Destined to be one of the events of the year, fans are eagerly waiting for a support act announcement in the New Year with high hopes, nothing seems to be in the way of this band right now, and their rise continues.
