Track Review – The Courteeners “How Good It Was”

From the new-released EP of the same name, Liam Fray’s continued lyrical genius is again evident in the first track released by the Manchester band after the announcement of their new album “Concrete Love” next month.
A retrospective look at a past relationship explores how important it is to look back at fond memories as opposed to the bitter end it may have culminated in. “The way that we were in our own little world back when we young.” tells us everything about the feelings within a relationship and how they can encapsulate both sides of it.
The release of this EP has only increased the anticipation of the new album and set the standard of lyrical and topical quality we can’t help but expect.

“Concrete Love” is released on Monday 18th August.
